Well, today was sonogram #2! We got some good news and some bad news...
The good news is that we saw the baby and heard/saw the heartbeat! We are actually a week earlier than we thought. So we are 6 weeks one day and our new due date is October 13th!
The bad news is that the baby's heartbeat was really slow. They want to see it around 100 bpm and ours was at 49 bpm. It did get up to 80 bpm, but they are still concerned. They said that at this point, we have a 50/50 chance of miscarrying or having the pregnancy move forward as normal. So this is going to be a critical week for us as we go back for another sonogram next Wednesday.
On a lighter note, we do not think that the baby looks at all like an alien. Rather, I am carrying a snowman!!!

Oh my, it is always scary in the beggining wondering if things will take or not. I will keep you and your baby in my prayers. Just think positive. Let me know if you need anything. Not that I could do much from here. Miss ya.

I hate hearing this news. I will pray for you and the little one. Hang in there. If it's meant to be it will be (I know, easier said than done). If you ever need anyone to talk to about a scary/difficult pregnancy, I'm your woman! I love you!!
