Our Fourth of July with Soleil!!

Look at me! Two blog updates in one week!! I am on it!! I should really be doing homework, but this is just way more fun!!!

So, this year was an extra special fourth for us as Soleil arrived on the 3rd to spend three weeks with us this summer!!! We have been having a lot of fun with her. I'm sure there will be a few more updates in the time she is here, but here is the first...

I had to work until 4:30 on the 4th, but after I got off we got everything together and we headed to the Naval Base where Winston works to watch the fireworks. It was the best spot!! We were right on the waters edge-complete with a beach for Soleil to play on! We saw a few jelly fish swimmy by, so we didn't do too much int he water. Our friends Claudia and Henry showed up complete with their BBQ grill and their dog Maddie. We hung out and ate while waiting for the fireworks to start. Once they started, we were surprised to see all of the fireworks around the area!! We must have seen 7-10 different displays!!! The main firework display we watched were shot from a barge near the Soloman's Bridge. It was beautiful and we were so happy Soleil was there to share it with us!!! Jumbo Slice/Pizza Mart Challenge

So about two weekends ago Winston and I, along with our friends Claudia and Henry, went to DC to do a food challenge we saw on the travel channels "Food Wars". Two brothers own these two pizza restaurants and both sell 18 inch slices of pizza with slightly different recipes. We decided to try it out...

My trip to Washington...

So my little sister, Averi, turned 21 on the 21st of May. With help from my Mom and John, I was able to fly out to Gig Harbor, Wa for the weekend to help celebrate! The best part was we kept my visit a secret from Averi, Collin and Korey-so when they saw me they were all shocked! It was great! I, of course, had my flip cam with me, so with my computer now fully functioning, I have finally been able to put the video together make a movie!!! I didn't add the still photos to this video, so here are a few photos as well as the video!!!

So, many of our friends and family have been asking us about our new lifestyle; Paleo and Crossfit.
I am not great at explaining it, so I have found these videos that explain it very simply!
Basically we eat a Paleo diet and do Crossfit for our exercise.

A Celebration of February Birthdays!

So last night we drove to DC (about 67 miles-about an hour and a half -two hours away) to Winston cousins home to have a February birthday party! We had a great time and can't wait to go back and see the sights of DC!

So I finished the move videos last week. I had to break them up into three videos as Windows movie maker was not allowing me to publish the video as a whole. The next issue was publishing the videos to my blog. For some reason, part three loaded with no problem, but parts one and two were not cooperating. So I thought "I will just link them through YouTube! Great, but part threes audio was disabled on YouTube due to copyright laws. So, below are all three videos. So Friday and Saturday went down in the History books as one of the worst snow storms the North-East has seen in almost 50 years...it was AWESOME being here to experience it! My words cannot do it justice, so please enjoy our short video about it!
