So I got back from Chicago and it was a rough week. I really wanted to get out to see the city as I had never been there, but it was just impossible with my broken foot.
I had a follow up appointment with an orthopedic surgeon today and we found out that the break was worse than the ER had stated. The break was clean, but required more than a stabilizing shoe. It turns out I broke my cuboid bone of my right foot. I now have a very HOT PINK cast on my foot up to my right knee. I am unable to drive and with these dumb crutches, it is most difficult to do most everything. He thinks I will have to have this cast on for 4-6 weeks, but wants to see me back in 4.
Oh Joy.
