Memorial Day and other updates

Well, this week we celebrated Memorial Day wiht a BBQ at our house. Korey wasn't able to make it due to schoolwork and actual work, but my Mom, John and Collin all made it. It was a nice, low key day for us. We made burgers, hot dogs and chicken. All which turned out fantastic. Winston is a master on the grill and one day will have to pass on his skills to Ryker! Ryker is growing like crazy and at his last weigh in two weeks ago, was up to 12.5lbs! I am positive he is now over 13lbs.
We had to take him in after his two month shots appt. on the 19th as he just hasn't been himself. At that visit, the doc diagnosed him with silent reflux. It's basically reflux without the spitting up. Sounds nice for us, but it's terrible for him as he swallows all of that acid back down. No fun. So, he has been on meds that seemed to work at first, but are not any longer. He will be starting a new medication for it tomorrow. In the meantime, I am going to try not giving him anything for 24 hours, as we feel it has gotten worse since he was put on the meds. We will see...

Winston's job is going well. He really likes the work, but HATES his commute. I can't hardly blame him though; he does drive 65 miles each way! Luckily he is working 2:30pm to 11:00pm. This helps him miss a good portion of the traffic. Three-four days a week, he stops in at the 24 hour fitness on the way and gets in a workout. He is usually home around 1:30am and I am sometimes up feeding Ryker, so that part is nice. However, we are both very excited to move up North this summer to be closer to his job. We will gain two more hours together once that happens. Yay!
