Craziest thing we have ever seen!!!!

So on Valentines Day, we decided to go for a little drive to a town about 30 miles North of us called Waldorf. (It sounds like a Lord of the Rings City to me!)

Well, as we were on our way, we came to a four way stop. We had a red light, which turned green. However, Winston heard sirens and waited at the light. As we looked to the right we saw two fire engines screaming towards us on their way to help--not an unusual sight. However what happend next left our jaws WIDE OPEN!
As the first fire engine was turning to make the right turn, it hit the curb. As it hit the curb, it hit a snowbank that was piled about 4 feet high...snow went everywhere! The force of the snow made the engine spin 180 degrees and start sliding on the median and didn't stop until it hit the traffic light pole where they finally stopped. As they stopped, the traffic light fell to the ground.

This all happened as we were sitting (front car position) at the stop light waiting to have our delightful V-Day drive!!!
Needless to say, we got out and gave our statements...after we both looked at each other and asked if that had really just happened!

Luckily, there were only very minor injuries sustained by three of the Firemen. All of whom were able to walk to the ambulance to be checked out.

I was so very happy that Winston had been paying such close attention to the sirens...who know what would have happened if we had gone when the light turned green...?!!!!!

This was taken about 15 minutes after the accident happened:

On the drive home, we saw the next cool thing...although not crazy!
It was our new neighbors, the Amish! Winston had never seen them before and I hadn't seen them since I was seven and I saw them in Pennsylvania. Anyhoo- it was neat to see them!
